Congratulations ! Wow! That was fast!

We decided to go ahead with the exit cast for a couple of reasons.

One of them was the same that you mentioned, the tort. Dane was

discharged from PT the same week he graduated. I was a little

concerned about it, so we did the cast. We just live 15 minutes

away, so it was a minimal investment of time.

I was a little bummed when I got the cast back. Part of it, in

front of his right ear, has a bulge that he doesn't have. But, I

must say when I freak out about regression, it is nice to pull it

out and see that he looks just as good as he did when he graduated!

Congradulations to !! I am sure he looks better than in the

beginning, although not 100% correction, anything is better than

nothing, esp. given his " older " start wearing the band.

I'm glad you can enjoy free weekends now and stop going thru such

long & miserable drives - especially now with the weather getting so

bad & dangerous to drive in!

Have a Happy, band free, New Year!

Kristi,

Congratulations on ' graduation. Hooray! I'm sorry to

read that you are not totally thrilled with the results - you did say

that he does look better - right?

One way or the other I'm glad you are done with the long road

trips and you now have a nice bare head to snuggle once again.

Not yet. I need to make an appointment, but am dreading the drive

officially decided against the exit cast (but that isn't really final

either!)

Yes, there was a definite improvement. I am happy with the results,

I just know they could have been better if our ped hadn't been such a

jerk! We started questioning the flatness at about 3mos and really

started pushing the issue at 9mos. He wasn't banded till about a

week before his first birthday!

And yes, I am very much loving the bare head snuggles!!

Kristi,

That is such great news to read that is done!! Don't sweat it

about the residual flatness. Many have seen, including myself, the

head shape to continue to round out after graduation. I'll keep my

fingers crossed that you do too. Enjoy your weekends, and give his

round noggin a big ol kiss from us!
