Guest guest
hi! yesterday (monday) i walked chinook for around an hour... went down to the chicken farm and back. it was cool and windy but i was bundled up and enjoyed the walk. i put 900 new mp3s on my player... should last me for a while nothing exciting to report... but this is still roadkill season so there was some of that to experience...yuck! the wildlife is really moving around right now, looking for food and shelter i guess... a deer ran out in front of my car the other night while i was driving home from work (11pm) and i barely missed her... had to slam on the brakes and the groceries that were in the back of the car flew into the front. the other day i frightened a group of boar(s) that were standing on the highway... as soon as they heard my loud stereo coming (heh heh) they couldnt get out of the way fast enough. a little one at the end was trying so hard that i had to laugh. but i digress.... after walking i did urban rebounding 'senior bound' (aka 'old-timers'), which was way too easy so i modified up and had a fun time. (30 mins) the instructor was a guy named 'jo jo' and he was a character. but he kept saying 'i know that you are ready' (to do the move faster or to let go of their stability bar and use their arms, etc) and this got to be annoying. and the moves were quite repetitive, which is to be expected in this workout, along with 'first-timers', but i think they could have done more with it and still kept it easy. after that i did urban rebounding 'ab bound' which surprised me. i was expecting to be on my back on the rebounder doing crunches for the whole thing. and yes of course there was a long set of those to start. i managed to do some of them before i switched to reverse crunches for lower abs instead. of course then JB switches to reverse crunches..lol. no probs i need alot of work for that anyway. what surprised me was that he included some pilates exercises, so good on JB! and there were some good stretches at the end. also this workout is listed as being 45 mins long and it did not seem that long to me, which is a good thing. JB is a good instructor! the only thing that bugs me is that he refers to himself, by name, in the third person. i guess he is trying to be funny but it is kind of weird. the urban rebounding set is huge!!! check this out: > First Timers - 30 min > Basic - 45 min > Intermediate - 60 min > Advanced - 45 min > Senior - 30 min > Abdominal - 45 min > Box and Bounce 40 min. > Dance Bound 40 min. > Core Bound 40 min. > Hip Hop Bound 20 min. > Kick Bound - 35 min. > Interval Bound - 40 min. > Old Fashion Hi/Low - 45 min. > Latin Bound - 30 min. > Resistance Bound - 40 min. > Sports Specific Bound - 35 min > Ballet Bound - 35 min. > African Bound - 25 min. > Stretch Bound - 30 min. > Yoga Bound - 40 min. WOW! step count yesterday was fabulous after some abysmal days... also gained a couple of pounds back but now have my head back into the game. i pulled out a bunch of jeans from my closet that were way too small and now a whole bunch of them fit... i am so happy!!! but now is the constant battle to keep it off and to lose a bit more. it is cold this morning so im off to do housework and will walk and workout in my early pm window when it is hopefully warmer out. we had our first frost the other night :/ :*carolyn.
