Guest guest
I started out tonight doing Kathy's LW2LW, and remembered that I still needed to finish the second half of Gilad. I really, really liked this DVD, (despite the fake camera-smiles). He started out each movement slowly at a two-count, emphasizing the form and proper motion. Once you had gotten that down, then he sped it up to a one-count motion, which was (to me) fatiguing! This was a pattern repeated throughout. For those of us who don't like fast changes, it was really good! Others may find it boring, but I found it " easy to follow. " He also stretched often between sets, which I liked. Coming off of a tricep lift, it felt good to stretch the tricep immediately, rather than wait until the final cool down. The cool down was also done slowly and precisely. He constantly emphasizes having your core stable and doing motions in the proper manner. I would say this is probably a beginner to early intermediate level. I appreciated the safety emphasis -- many advanced lifters probably wouldn't need those reminders. I don't lift as often as I should, and I found the pace comfortable, but still challenging. I didn't need to concentrate on keeping up with him, but the muscles burned and my form was good! This was great for my level of lifting!! A keeper (for a while!)
