Are Tin Pans Safe?

I need to get a springform pan so that I can make a Birthday cake for my son's

second birthday at the end of this week.

I can only find springform pans that made out of whatever with Non-stick,

Aluminum, or Tin. The Non-stick and Aluminum are right out, but I don't know

very much about cooking in Tin. I've checked around and I just can't seem to

find out much about it in the way of safety. Usually I would go with stainless

steel, but they just don't seem to make springform pans out of this material.

So, does anyone know if it is safe to cook with Tin?

I'd also be interested in any suggestions anyone might have on a springform pan

that they like. It would be helpful if I could get this pan in town, because I

need it for Sunday and to have it shipped is kind of out of the question.

Thanks in advance for your help

Jenn
