Looking for a few pigs, lamb and a calf or two.

My mom has a small 60 acre farm in western wisconsin right across the Miss from

lake city, mn. She wants to raise a few pastured pigs, lambs and 1 or 2 head of

cattle, all for eating. Does anyone know where we might find some young animals

that we can raise ourselves? How much can we expect to pay?

A farm nearby her is offering baby Holsteins for $40 each, they say they don't

use any hormones or antibiotics. I'm concerned that they may not do well on

grass if they've been bred for rapid growth, is there any way to determine if

this is the case or not?
