Guest guest
Taryn: She is so cute!! What a beautiful little grin and she's finally popped a tooth to go with it! I remember Abby doing SO much from 7 mos - 15 mos, it was so amazing how fast they grow up. You'll be chasing her around the block in no time. Her Ballert Helmet looks so much like the STARbands do. Many parents say that their babies head can at times appear to look " bumpy " and such during the remolding process of the band, so hopefully that's what's happening with Taryn from your description. It's good you've seen improvment already. Keep feeding her some spinach to get a growth spurt soon! That is really great news about her tort improving so much. I don't know how you can keep up with our group AND the tort. group! Shew, no wonder you have no time to talk about yourself or ! LOL....But please keep us updated on her progress. Thanks for the picture. Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Thank you for noticing!!! I have been devoting lots of time to the tort board with my new found duties and haven't had much time to update on much!!! is doing so well in her helmet. She has worn it since Oct. 8 and has never had a problem with it. We had a few red spots in the beginning but nothing too serious. We are already seeing great progress even though her head is still really flat to me. I have noticed that it is more pronounced now than before and I wonder if that's because it's being remolded? Who knows!!! She has had pretty much no tilt since wearing the helmet and is doing so well in that regard. The therapist is impressed with the progress she's made and she has recently begun rolling, sitting up on her own, standing with assistance, and cutting her first tooth all in a few weeks!!! I am simply amazed at how fast she's growing. She will be 8 months old on Thanksgiving Day. I have attached a recent picture of her in her Thanksgiving decorated helmet. Guest guest
Taryn- You did a great job on Em's turkey day helmet! It lloks really cute, but not cuter than her. What a cutie patootie. I swear we all have the cutest kids in the world! You'll be amazed how much she'll be changing every day now. After Vivian hit 6-7 months everything comes so fast and she just changes so fast, you can see the learning and exploration in action and it's just awesome. > Thank you for noticing!!! Guest guest
Taryn: I'm SO happy to hear how happy you are with 's progress in her helmet How much longer does Jim think she'll be wearing it? Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > I wanted to jump in here to let everyone know has seen WONDERFUL correction in the two months she has worn her Ballert helmet. Jim has had to cut out part of the foam on her right side which is her flat side already and he said she is ready to get her next helmet probably this month. I have been told that as her head grows it is tight against the left side which is already round and it will put gentle pressure to move the growth to the flat side...in essense an active helmet. I am very impressed with the results we have seen and have no regrets about going with a locally made helmet...plus it only has cost $1300. > > Taryn and > Indiana > > > " Ballert makes a passive helmet that is why it takes so long to see correction. The difference between the 2 is that an active band applies gentle pressure to the head, redirecting the growth. A passive helmet sits on the head and eventually the head > > will grow into the shape of the helmet, round. "
