Guest guest
Yes, I get it too, and they have some very intriguing research, but they miss this one by a long shot. They're all over the pharmaceutical companies, but they've got their own financial game too. Good and bad. I don't really know why they named that article "Second Pass". A second pass refers to the second action of a drug or second peak, as it goes through the body. ??? Tx Food for Thought: Alzheimers, Cholesterol and Blood Pressure Hi, All! I get this newsletter in my email. I normally don't pay too much attention to it, because there is a lot of marketing going on in it. They are pushing nutritional solutions. But one thing jumped out at me: the connection between cholesterol levels, blood pressure, and Alzheimers. These folks missed something, and that is the effect of thyroid on cholesterol levels and blood pressure. jan
Guest guest
Good for you!!! During my annual physical in 2002, my cholesterol levels were over range, and my Internist said I needed to do something to get it under control. Mind you I am only slightly overweight, not too bad. I work hard the whole year at eating better, trying to lower cholesterol. Annual physical 2003... results are much better, I am only borderline. She was much happier. Then comes 2004. I have been on Armour, not watching what I eat, not doing a thing to lower cholesterol... and look at these results from my recent annual physical. Triglycerides 45 (<200) Total cholesterol 167 (<240) LDL ('bad' chol.) 96 (<130) HDL ('good' chol.) 62 (35-150) Total/HDL ratio 2.69 (<4.55) Nothing you can say will convince me that it wasn't the Armour.
