RE: File - Request.txt

Hi Kim! Thanks for your kind answer. We are the parents of two children,

Guillaume, 3 and a half, extremely lively and thanks God in good health, and

Ines, 9 months, who has just been diagnosed polymicrogiria as I said before.

My husband is French and I'm Spanish, we live in Paris.

We started getting worried about Ines this summer, when she couldn't hold

her head properly and we noticed she did not use much her left arm and leg.

In September we started visiting neurologists, and in November 28 the MRI

confirmed she had a big problem. The research about the causes will start

next week. I had toxoplasmosis during the 1st month of pregnancy but doctors

seem to believe more in a genetic cause. This worries us even more since we

would love to have more children.

Ines is a lovely baby, a little more calm than average, very joyful and

sweet. She eats and sleeps well. She loves to play and laugh, and can take

objects easily with her right hand. She can now roll on the floor on both

sides, and holds her head better. Her attention has also improved a little.

Doctors said she looks better than what her MRI says, and that she will

probably walk and speak one day, but with no guarantee, of course. She

hasn't have any seizures yet but we have been told we should expect them to

come one of these days. We are very afraid of that, of not being able to

recognize them.

Of course we have thousands of questions, but maybe some of the first

matters for us today are:

- seizures: when do they usually start, how, how to recognize them, what to

do

- development: what are the best techniques, how much time per week, etc

Thanks for all and bon courage!

Angeles
