I thought when I saw this, what perfect timing. My mother-in-law was (like so many SAD people) so surprized that dairy is not eaten on the mb diet - her questioning, really, how come, I told her I didn't think she really wanted to know from the tone of her voice, it sounded to me rather she just couldn't believe it, no she says, she really wants to know. Foolish me, so I go into a mini-lecture of all the negatives about milk, starting from my La Leche arguments, to stuff about yin/yang. then I got Ilanit's post, and said, great, perfect for her. I told her I could send to her mailbox and she weasles out, oh no, not at my age - then the lightbulb hits!!!!! they are so so so are into eating what's easy, no way will they want to change to actually cooking their meals!!!!!! So they take a thousand pills and doctors are their mainstay in life - and of course they have their complaints against the pills and against the doctors but just don't see

it. I got a very interesting response back from Phiya Kushi, (on sad, sad, sad) who said what I kind of knew, but still struggle with - people really do choose their own lives, no way we can choose it for them. So they take a thousand pills and doctors are their mainstay in life - and of course they have their complaints against the pills and against the doctors but just don't see

it. I got a very interesting response back from Phiya Kushi, (on sad, sad, sad) who said what I kind of knew, but still struggle with - people really do choose their own lives, no way we can choose it for them. dairy si very addcitive apparently as the article said. even my mother

who now does not eat meat HAS to have her goats cheese! it is a very

sentimental food apparently. Well it doesn't appeal to me!

phiya has a way with words.

I thought when I saw this, what perfect timing. My

mother-in-law was (like so many SAD people) so surprized that dairy is

not eaten on the mb diet - her questioning, really, how come, I told

her I didn't think she really wanted to know from the tone of her

voice, it sounded to me rather she just couldn't believe it, no she

says, she really wants to know. Foolish me, so I go into a

mini-lecture of all the negatives about milk, starting from my La Leche

arguments, to stuff about yin/yang. then I got Ilanit's post, and

said, great, perfect for her. I told her I could send to her mailbox

and she weasles out, oh no, not at my age - then the lightbulb

hits!!!!! they are so so so are into eating what's easy, no way will

they want to change to actually cooking their meals!!!!!! So they take

a thousand pills and doctors are their mainstay in life - and of course

they have their complaints against the pills and against the doctors

but just don't see it.

I got a very interesting response back from Phiya Kushi, (on

sad, sad, sad) who said what I kind of knew, but still struggle with -

people really do choose their own lives, no way we can choose it for

them.

> develop a multitude of gastrointestinal problems, allergies,

congestion,

> and sinusitis. Some of the biggest problems are gastrointestinal

and

> anemia because the reaction of the milk in our GI tract causes

> bleeding. Also, if you are drinking a lot of milk (three or more

> glasses a day) it is going to increase the rate of osteoporosis,

> according to the research, because of the high protein.

>

> Cows milk is not a mother's milk replacement!

> Another aspect of not being aligned with the natural cycle is that

human

> mother's milk is designed for the nervous system of infants, and

cow's

> milk is more designed to grow a calf. Cow's milk is 4 times

higher in

> protein than human milk. It is designed for the massive skeletal

and

> muscle growth which a 400 pound cow needs. Human milk has 6-10

times

> the essential fatty acids, especially the linoleic acid and DHA,

which

> is needed for human brain development and overall nervous system

> development. One research showed breastfed children had 10 points

> higher IQ than children not given mother's milk.
