Guest guest
....Or so I hope. I just met with the beautiful doctor who will be doing the procedure. I loved him! He was funny, gorgeous, and inspired confidence. (Back off Vennitta, this one is mine too.) My rest week didn't work, so I called my neurologist, and he set the ball rolling. He told me my MRI was " impressive " and joked that I looked great for somebody with such a bad MRI. Well, gee thanks, doc! (Flattery will get you everywhere.) Apparently, my head shots made the rounds in neurology. Cerebrospinal fluid hypotension, probably due to a tear in the dura, probably at a nerve root, hypotension causing the brain to sag into the base of the skull and torquing the cranial nerves: why I can't hear right. You guessed it: this feels crappy. He said this one wont get better on its own, and he's seen people come in after suffering for years. No wonder this felt so permanent. I have tried to tough it out, power through, but dang. It's a relief just knowing it's not my fault, and it looks as bad as it feels. He said it could have started from the fall in December. He said it's usually some sort of accident, and that's really the only one recently. I hit the ground HARD. Oh, and Clooney had this too when he got hurt filming Syriana. My condition is HAWT. He said that this procedure sometimes doesn't work, and sometimes it seems miraculous. I walked today and yesterday because I felt better due to my rest week, but I'm rapidly crashing. I'll take the bus the rest of the week, and maybe ask for more time off. See ya later!
