Guest guest
My Isabel was born with torticollis, her head tilts to the left. They told us this would resolve on its own and most of her casts went all the way up under the neck. However, now that she is out of a cast and into a brace we find that her neck is so weak on that side she can hardly hold her head up. My husband (stay at home dad) does some physical therapy type exercises with her and they help but it's not enough. She WAS in an Early Steps program but aged out at 3 in December. Our public schools say she is too smart to go to their programs for OT/PT so I have been left with nothing. I have two questions: Has anyone else had a case of unresolved torticollis in their child? and Does anyone have suggestions about PT/OT? She is about a year behind in gross motor skills since she was in a cast for year. We are very attentive parents but we can only do so much...Thank you in advance for your help. ~Angie
