as i understand it seaveggies are exceptionally high in iron as are

green elafy veggies, elgumes like lentils etc

eating a source rich in vitamin c with the iron facillitates absorption

- eg broccoli, kale etc

some people do get iron deficient but it can also happen to meat eaters

in the meantime to correct it Spatone is a good idea

www.spatone.com

as is red iron plus

intestinal issues can also inhibit iron absorption or contribute to its

loss as can parasties

spirulina is an excellent source for some especially during pregnancy

why white beans?

I was talking to a nurse on Saturday about iron uptake. She was

adamant that vegetarians, and especially vegans, are not able to get

enough iron because it's not bioavailable in beans, except somewhat in

white beans.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks,
