Guest guest
I was luke warm on this one too, Darcy - next time I do it I'll use weights instead whenever possible. While it's hot where you are, it's raining cats and dogs here in Portland - nice on the one hand because I get out of watering the yard, but boo because I want to get my 10 mile run in today at some point. I don't mind *some* rain, but worry about getting blisters on my feet with the added moisture in the socks, etc. You just have around a month left, right Darcy? EXCITING! I wasn't certain if I was going to workout or not, as I didn't sleep well AGAIN last night, but for some reason my motivation and drive has stepped it up in these final weeks before birth. I really want my labor and birth to go well, and keeping in good shape should surely help with that. So after a bit of deliberating, I pushed play with Turbofire. I'm not sure if I have done this one or not, but I liked it okay. HOWEVER, it's an all band workout, and I didn't use mine at all. Iused weights instead. Getting the tension right on the bands annoys me. I don't like to waste time, and just get down to business. I think the workout fit the bill very well today. I was hoping to have burned a bit more, but it was just 29 minutes when I shut my HRM off and I had burned 246 with my average at 121. The music was just 'okay' in this one. I was hoping for it to be more fun, but it wasn't. I might have to tackle the other workout on this DVD (Tone 30) soon. I'm off to my in-laws today w/out DH since he is STILL working... It's also going to be super-hot. It is so tempting to drop the kids off and not stay and actually have a day to myself...which hasn't happenned in MONTHS AND MONTHS! I would so love to have the energy and time to tackle more stuff around here w/out kids underfoot..ugh.. oh well... Anyway, enough blabbering. Enjoy your Sundays all!D
Guest guest
Send some rain here please! We're so dry, the grass is all crunchy and brown. We might get some tomorrow but it also is supposed to be super hot the rest of the week too so we'll see if it does any good. Not whining though... at least it is isn't super cold and wet which makes me much more miserable. Guest guest
Bummer on the rain, and no run ! I am in total awe that you are able to go 10 miles. That's huge. You're such an inspiration!!!!!!!!I am now 37 weeks pregnant, so I'm considered full term. The baby technically could come anytime now, but I'm not " due " until 40 weeks (3 more weeks). In the past, I didn't go into labor until I was 41 - 42 weeks, so we shall see what this one brings. I am against inductions unless absolutely necessary so I will wait it out as long as I can. Anyway, I am so not ready right NOW, but I hope to be in a couple more weeks anyway!! D  I was luke warm on this one too, Darcy - next time I do it I'll use weights instead whenever possible.
