Guest guest
, sorry my reply is so late. I just wanted to say that you should do whatever motivates you and makes you happy.Good luck! JenSubject: I'm going to do it.To: exercisevideos Date: Friday, August 12, 2011, 3:31 PM Dear Friends:Every time I sign up for a sporting event I am motivated to work hard and finish / achieve my goal. This year I ran my first half marathon and have two more coming up - which means I have to keep running, and do (I get to run 10 miles with my good friend Sam tomorrow). However, I'm SICK of having all this FAT on top of my strong muscles (which are getting bigger because I've been lifting very heavy 4x a week now) and undoing all my hard work by binge eating and drinking. I got to thinking, if I signed up for a bb natural figure show I would be motivated to stick to the diet because I would HAVE TO and have a REASON to. One reason I'm not a bb already is because I mostly exercise for how it makes me feel over how it makes me look. I really do it for the endorphin rush and the pumps and knowing that I *can* run far and I *can* lift such and such pounds. It's all mental for me, which is why signing up for a contest will commit me to that goal and make it happen. I was talking about this on Facebook and a new bodybuilder friend of mine, Kim, is encouraging me to do the Vancouver show with her and a couple of her friends. She thinks I can do it! I get paid next Friday and I'm going to sign up again with Noel for training and also seek his advice because he is the one who ultimately knows if this is a reasonable goal for me and he will be brutally honest. I officially made up my mind and heart to do this at the bus stop this morning and started crying, actually. I am very, very nervous and excited, much like I felt when I decided to get my Turbo Kick certification at 200+ lbs. I need a goal in my life right now and this is providing me with a direction and something to shoot for. Life is way to short to not to achieve and be the best you can be. Pizza tonite with the folks for the last time til next April (The show is 3/31) Thank you guys for always being so supportive of me! I love you very much!
