Guest guest
, I was able to hold her on the third day, but not able to nurse her until the ninth day. It really did suck. I was so scared. After I had her, she was a c-section I was so drugged on morphine, that when the doctor told me he had to put her on a respirator, all I said to him was, " Oh, isn't it hot in here " ? It didn't hit me until the morphine wore off. Having a baby in the NICU is one of the hardest things I've ever had to deal with. No parent should have to go through that. I am expecting a baby this April, one of my biggest fears is that this one will, have to go to the NICU too. The doctors said the chances of that happening are next to none, but I'm still worried. > Awww- poor baby and poor mommy! That must have really been stressful not to > hold her for 9 days! I can only imagine how eager you were on that 10th day! > Thanks for the inside info on the NICU- I guess in reality Doctors may have > to do what they have to do if the condition warrants a child being kept from > his/her parents for good reason. > Still sucks though, huh!? >
