Hi!I took off both days this weekend - well, Saturday is my normal rest day - I like to have one day a week where I can sleep in and, generally, if I don't get it done in the morning, it just doesn't happen b/c life happens! Today was more of a mental health day - had a very busy day yesterday (driving to and from engagement party, 2hours each way, plus time at the party) and just needed some quiet time this morning. And, I knew we would be busy this afternoon (fall farm/petting zoo) - so, again, needed the quiet time in the morning today to relax, ease into the day, etc. Now, tomorrow, it is back on track. I'm still doing the original 10 lb slimdowns to work my way up to extreme. Tomorrow is the lower body workout and I do plan to add on a bit of cardio and stretching or Pilates. Also need to get back on track w/ healthy eating -

this weekend between parties and other events - well, eating has not been so healthy!

I do want to be more consistent w/ working out 6 days per week - so will get back into that routine as well. I do feel much better physically and mentally on days I workout. I'm fine w/ one rest day week - but then I do need to get back on it!Take care -Donna

Ditto, Donna!  I've been cooking healthy meals for the week the past few hours and too look forward to getting back on track.  My entire upper body is sore and I injured my foot so I think tomorrow will be abs with at the Sweat Shop, then after work I'll swim laps at Cascade.  I still want to try that steam room if they would just quit overdoing it with the eucalyptus oil!

Routines are great, aren't they. Those unusual days are the most challenging, that's for sure.

Hi !Yes, this weekend's eating was really HORRIBLE for me. I do " cheat " on the weekends w/ wine and desserts and sometimes cheese, but between eating out and eating at our friend's party - yikes!  We also did take out Friday night b/c it was a crazy day....and no time to cook.

I'm not looking forward to going to work tomorrow, but I am looking forward to getting my workouts in and eating right.  Next weekend it should be easier to maintain an ok diet - I'll still cheat a little, but it won't be as bad or as much!

And, yes, I really shouldn't beat myself up about missing a workout - I do need some downtime as well (some nice quiet time in the morning before the rest of the house is up w/ my coffee and a book is a real treat for me!!) and M-F I do get my workouts in.

Take care!Donna

I took both days off too.  I like working out 6 days a week too, but I'm flexible on the weekend.  It's nice to get something in, but if I don't I don't beat myself up about it.  I've had a weekend of some pretty bad eating myself and I'm ready to get back on track too.

Your email was just about how I'm feeling......
