Yay on shoulder DOMS! With an off ankle it sounds like you made the right

choice!

I'm sure there's plenty out there on the subject, but here's an article about

cardio and muscle building. It's written toward guys, it seems, but there are

several suggestions that seem logical. :)

Thanks, Sara!Yeah he seems to say long cardio duration but at a lower intensity too, meaning not running.  That's kind of what Noel says too, though I know some bb's do HIIT too.   I must say there *are* days where I like riding on my spin bike at a lower intensity but for a long period of time, like with those scenic videos that make it look like you're riding through Tuscany or something then you can put your own motivating music on, or sometimes just riding in the dark to music is good too.

I couldn't decide whether to walk or run today. I ended up walking because my ankle is a tad off and several bodybuilders have told me to lay off the cardio, as it can use your muscles as fuel.

I've heard of body builders not doing much cardio. I'm definitely no expert on it though.

A walk sounds like what you needed today. I'm not surprised at all that you're feeling it in them shoulders. You fried them!!
