's Monday workout

I so so need a mental health day!!! I do have a horrible mental block about calling in sick though....and it would be just my luck that if I did, I would actually end up sick or my DD would end up sick and I'd have to take another day off! :)

Hi all, After a weekend of being lazy and eating very badly my weight is way up again. I called in sick to work today and am taking a mental health, regrouping day. Haha. On Saturday I went to Fresno (1 1/2 hr drive) to do an intro to kettlebells class, It was kinda way too easy and the teacher said my form was basically good except that I need to straighten my wrist more for my overhead presses. I had bought a groupon deal for $35 for 5 classes, the first of which was required to be the intro class. I am getting kinda mad as she seems to have Saturday classes but all of them for Aug. Sept and now the rest of Oct. are cancelled. I have to use all of these before Dec. as per the groupon requirment and heavy fog season is almost here so I don't know when I will get to use the rest of them as I work all week. Anyhoo, this morning I did 10 lb. slimdown extreme total body

and the buns bonus. I am going to loosely follow the rotation for this. I plan to do it as written for the most part, but one day has 2 40 minute workouts. If this falls on a weekday, I will just split it into two days, if it falls on a weekend, I may try to do them, who knows. I really liked the ones I have done so far and tomorrow is the kickboxing one, which I have previewed only but it looks really awesome. Have a great day everyone, I am off to the store now to buy bananas.

I'm JEALOUS of your kettlebell classes, , and $35 is a super deal!  Hopefully the next ones will be more challenging!  Weight fluctuates so much - you are aware of where you are at and it sounds like you're taking steps to get it back down.  I'm in the same boat!  But am optimistic I can do it.

I haven't called in sick for 3 1/2 years and am sick of covering for all those that do it all the time. I have plenty of sick time, I may do it again tomorrow. I made sure that I don't have meetings, or anything urgent. I am kind of enjoying it. I just came back from doing shopping and it was so nice to do it in the middle of the day and not have to rush in the evening or spend my only two days off doing it. Wow, no wonder everyone else calls in sick so often, it's kinda fun. LOL

I love dance workouts! They are good spiritually and you do burn some calories. Am thinking of trying Zumba tonite at Cascade..

Okay, well I wouldn't exactly call it a workout, but it was kinda dorky fun. My knees were acting up today (I think from all those squats and lunges yesterday) and I didn't want to do anything hard. I had got Misty Tripoli's Body Grooves a few weeks ago and decided to try it out today. I did workout 1. She gives you a basic move and then you take it and make it into your own kinda dance. I felt kinda dumb, and the dogs were staring at me, but it was kinda fun. At the end of this one, she had you do supermans on your stomach and on your back kinda like things. I didn't really get very worked out, but I did have fun and she also has you do a breathing relaxing sort of thing at the end. I did like it, and I am curious to see what the other 4 workouts are, but I think I will make them into nighttime bonus workouts instead of my main workout. Have a great Monday all. We used to get today off for Columbus day, but when Arnold was the governator he took it away from us.

Hi all, I don't have a lot of time to post today, I have to take hubby to get some bloodwork done and then go to work and try not to be late. This morning I did Tracey Staehle Bootcamp, her newest one, workout number 1. I had put this one in yesterday to do but then yanked it out and wimped out to Biggest Loser Power walk, the third mile only. Today I did this one though. The freaking warmup starts with burpees, not my favorite thing. I did it, but it won't ever be my fave. It has one circuit that you do 4 times through, I thought I was done after that, but no, then is the finisher, surely you are finished after the finisher right, not, after that was a tabata round, which was 8 rounds of squat jumps (which I cheated on and just did fast squats). I just wish it would have had a timer so I would have known exactly how much was left in the workout. It was okay, I will do the other two workouts on this DVD soon.
