Guest guest
Welcome Vicki and MIke. We are glad to have you here. Sorry that Mike has come down with SD, but at least you are in the right place. With the problems that MIke is also having with his liver, I would suggest that you contact his doctor immediately. SD is a very odd disease and how it effects us. You don't want to take any chances. Please call the doc. It maybe something simple or it could be very serious. When in doubt, always consult the doc. Please hang around and be sure to ask anything. This group is a definite lifeline for many of us and we are an extended family. You will find that you are not alone and all the weird things that our bodies do, someone else has experienced the same or similar thing. Feel free to vent too. We are here to support each other. Welcome to you both. Much love, Terry

Guest guest
Hi Vicki, glad you found the site. There is alot to read on but I am sure it will interest you. We have 2 sites but feel free to ask the group any questions you may have. Good Luck and Take Care, Sheri www.stillsdisease.org http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Stillsdisease Hope you can find the info you are looking for. I'M NEW....NEED INFO AND SUPPORT HI ALL....My boyfriend has had stills disease for about a year and is suffering from severe pain in his hips, knees and other joints. He was also diagnosed with auto immune hepititis and can not take most medication besides prednisone. He sweats terribly at night and complains constantly of pain in his liver area. He's had two seperate occasions of severe heart pain (as though he's having a heart attack ) and I'll tell you ....I was very scared. I would really like some information regarding this disease and maybe some support for both of us.. Thankyou for your help. Guest guest
Dear Viki & Mike, I am known on the island of Stills, as Sue #2. Welcome to a very supportive and loving group, you will find much comfort here as I have. Mike, you sound very ill and I would definitely carry this further with your doctor right away. Please stay with us, we will offer you as much as we can. There is usually someone always around on this site, no matter what time it is in the late evening or early hours of the morning, when you cannot even sleep ,and this is very comforting to a lot of us. You will gain a lot of knowledge of stills here and have a lot of your questions answered. When I " flare " my symptoms consist of high fevers, very painful chest pain and I feel like I am having a heart attack, my abdomen gets very sore, the muscle joints are red and swollen, high fatigue and sometimes I get very bad sores in my mouth. I do have a rash, but it differs from others here. I will get a lacey, butterfly rash on my face, very faint, it will not itch, but I get a very serious looking and very different rash from anyone else here, from my hips down. My skin turns dark, dark purple, almost black and it itches very much and this rash covers 90% of my body from the waist down, and because of the itching, I will scratch it, and make it open in some areas. It is a most unusual rash. During my good days, I will usually get a fever about the same time, and mine are usually in the morning and they are very small fevers, by the afternoon they are gone, but I have tremendous amount of sweating too. At this time of the year, when people are in long sleeve shirts, sweaters and turtlenecks, I am in a short sleeve shirt, because I sweat so much. Right now, because I have only been here a little over a year, I am on prednisone daily, colchicine, plaquenil and sleep aids. We have slowly been trying drugs out on me until I find the right " cocktail " . I wish you both the best, and I hope that I have offered some helpful information. I look forward to corresponding more with you in the near future. Love, sue #
