" Basically, the Bible is a book not of severity and gloom but of joy, even

laughter. With what joy the Lord God must have created the world with all its

exotic flowers, colorful birds, and strange creatures of the land and sea! The

star sprinkled sky, sunrises, sunsets, spring days, and the glory of autumn are

all the handiwork of a joyful Creator. The Bible gives us many important clues

to finding abiding happiness. Here are a few:

'Happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.' (Psalm 14:15)

'He that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.' (Proverbs 14:21)

'We count them happy which endure.' ( 5:11)

'Happy is that man that findeth wisdom.' (Proverbs 3:13)

Put these verses into practice in your daily life, and you will be blessed

beyond measure. "
