I'm enjoying hearing your enthusiasm for these Sharon Trombly workouts!  Now I want them too!

Good morning!

Today I did some more from Sharon T.  I skimmed through her Full Body Attack last night and seen that the main workout is around 70 minutes.  I decided to do part of it this morning so it wouldn't end up being a full 70 minutes the next time I did it.

I did the first 4 cardio and weight sections.  This worked mainly chest and shoulders.   I took the DVD out at 25 minutes and then put in her Athletic Step Jam and did the stability ball workout and abs.  This looked so fun when I previewed it and I wanted to make sure I got to do that part. This was SO MUCH FUN! I LOVED IT!  She uses a stability ball with a lot of the air taken out.  I took some of the air out of mine last night, but it was just too flimsy so I decided to put some air back in it and only use it for certain exercises.  For the rest of it I used my 6# med ball.  This worked perfect for me.  My arms were frying using the med ball.  She does some unique moves with the stability ball.  I've done two of her ab workouts and both were super hard.   Of all the ab routines I've done I'd have to say hers seems to be the most challenging.  She seems to know exactly what exercises to do to get you a great burn.   This is a workout that I'm definitely buying.

I burned 414 calories and all of this was one hour!

Have a great day!~~

Hi ,Thanks for reporting on these - I think I have them and just haven't tried them yet! Crazy, huh? I'm really thinking about getting her newest, Zero to 60, too.

Great job! No way I would want to do an hour workout dvd. I don't mind exercising a whole hour but I'd rather walk or do water exercise/swimming during that hour. JenSubject: Wednesday WorkoutTo: Cathe_Friedrich_Fans , exercisevideos Date: Wednesday, August 31, 2011, 10:04 AM

Love, love, love Power Hour! That one kicks butt. :) Nice weights!

Good morning!

This morning was Power Hour with Cathe.  I haven't done this one in  a long time.  I always have dread with the leg segments because they last FOREVER!   Actually, the whole workout is really high reps, so I had to prepare my mind AND body for this one.

I don't remember the workout being that hard last time, but I was pushing it this morning.  I had to stop on the last rep of the triceps.  And on the lunges I was dying on that second round.

Glad this one is DONE!!

Warm up - light bar bell  20

Squats BB  30

Chest - Flys- 12      BB press- 30Back - Dead Rows and Dead Lifts-  I did all rows using 40 BB

          one arm rows   25

Lunges BB  I used 12 DB

Lunges (set 2)  10 DB

Shoulders - Front raise (10 lb plate)

                   side lateral  5

                   rear delt raise 8

                   shoulder press 20 BB

Biceps-  bar bell curl ( 2 sets)  15 BB

Triceps- lying BB extensions  25

              kickbacks 8

              lying BB extensions 25

Abs

Off to the dentist!

Have a great day!~~

PH is still a virgin to me, so I'm gonna print off the exercises and weights you used as a guide for when I do it.  Thanks so much !!

whoo-hoo!!! that is awesome michlle! i havent made it that

high yet however today is shaping up good... i have 8000 and i

havent even gone to work in the deli yet. they called to change

my shift a bit and informed me that i would be doing the 'deli

workout' (loading and unloading stock)...i said 'no probs, bring

it on!' (some of the women there are complaining that all of the

lifting is hurting them and they dont want to do it anymore)

to go ! I always enjoy seeing what weights you use! 17,000 steps is terrific - was it intentional or just your day to day normal walking doing errands, etc.?

No, I was just super busy running around doing EVERYTHING. I was tired last night, but it felt good to see that number.

> That's so cool that you're the strong one they can turn to,

> Carolyn! Great job on the steps too!!

thanks nancy!

the majority of the women i work with are big and have some

trouble getting around. for example, they cannot get up on a

step stool and write the specials on the deli's chalkboard. they

make me do it because i simply jump up onto the counter and write

on the board (which is attached to the wall). also the power

plugs for two of our slicers are under the service case near the

floor... none of them can get down to that level and plug the

slicer in... they say they would have to lay on the floor to do

it and then couldnt get back up! so, either they dont unplug

the slicers to wash them (against the safety rules) or they leave

the slicers unplugged until they can get someone to plug them in.

often i show up for work and try to wait on a customer and the

darned slicer is unplugged... argh!

enough about my dumb job... im off for two whole days... yay!

about today's workout... well there wasnt one... except for

running around the deli... 7742 steps. i was going to do some

rebounding but have decided that i need a new rebounder! i have

a cheap one and the last time i used it alot, i got sore knees.

the total opposite to what a rebounder is supposed to do for

your joints. it is ok once in a while but if i do rebounding

workouts for more than 2 or 3 days in a row, then i get some

pain. happily we now have a canadian distributor for jumpsport

trampolines :) these use cords instead of metal springs,

producing a deeper softer bounce and no noise. i just need to

see if i have $250 for one (and that is for the one at the bottom

of the jumpsport line).

tomorrow i WILL workout... probably a walk and PHH thighs. i

also have a ton of housework to do since ive been working out of

the house all week. the yard needs help too, and maybe i will

take chinook to the dog park. there is always lots to do!

Yet more really good reasons to take good care of ourselves... wow, those women sound like they need help.

Interesting about the rebounder. I've never thought about the quality of them. I just figured they would all work pretty much alike and am very surprised to hear the quality would affect your knees. I don't disagree at all, I've just never knew they could be that different. I got mine for $10 at a yard sale and hardly ever use it for rebounding (I bought it for therapy for when he was little and similar work with Miriam when she was younger too) so I really don't know much about them at all. I love reading these posts and learning more all the time!

Your pledge to workout reminded me that in addition to doing PLB yesterday, I also vacuumed the main area of our ranch home and the finished basement yesterday too. The guys were done fixing our bathroom and basement ceiling and though they did a great job cleaning up after themselves the house desperately needing a good vacuuming (and I needed a few more calories to be able to count another WW activity point)!

I need to do some serious dusting next! I'm slowly reclaiming my house from my summer slothfulness (and kid cleaners)! :-)

less for stuff than us canadians do. you can get the jumpsport

350 rebounder at costco for $200 now, i think. im glad that i

got a deal on mine and ended up getting it for the same price...

but actual retail on that is one hundred dollars more than you

guys pay... ugh!

I'm JEALOUS!  i want a nice rebounder!  I have a cheapie.  I'll need to keep an eye out at garbage sales for one.  I'm forking over about that much for a month's training with Noel, but I'd rather have the training :)

I'm JEALOUS!  i want a nice rebounder!  I have a cheapie.  I'll need to keep an eye out at garbage sales for one.  I'm forking over about that much for a month's training with Noel, but I'd rather have the training :)

I love S & H so much. You do this nice and heavy! Nice job, girl!

Good morning!

Today was S & H Chest & Back.  I was looking forward to it, but knew it would be tougher then the legs and shoulders.

I like that this workout uses on dumb bells.

CHEST: Bench press  25  (15 reps)  3 setsFlys  20 (15 reps)  3 setsIncline bench press  20  (12 reps) 3 setsIncline flys 20 ( 12 reps) 3 sets  optional set of Slow & Heavy pushups-  skipped these.  My chest was toast.

BACK: Rows  set 1 -  double arm using 25 (12 reps- 3 sets)  sets 2 and 3- single arm using 30 ( 12 reps- 3 sets)Pullovers  set 1 and 2 34 ( 12 reps)   set 3   30  ( 12 reps)  this one killed!!Deadlifts- skipped

Floor work: Lower Back (Supermans)

                    Abs- planks

Have a great day!  ~~
