Guest guest
Pete, I looked through ancient yahoogroup mails regarding Dan Mausts original squash definition. This one is yours and stems from 2004: "Squash refers to a type of protocol often considered to have been originated by Dan Maust (but claimed by others). It is based on the general finding that clinical improvements tend to follow overall reductions in EEG amplitudes. Hence, the protocol seeks to "squash" all frequencies in a "wideband suppression". Dan did 2-38 Hz down in two channels, summing them to get a single number, between F7/PC5 and F8/PC6. With the single caveat that it should not be used with clients who already have low EEG activations, Dan and others used it fairly widely and said they got good results." I have seen more mails with the same definition. Uwe
