My GP is switching me from Synthroid and Cytomel to Armour.

Does anyone know if this is equivalent? I'm so scared of going hyper or hypo...my numbers are supposedly right-on...

Armour 60MG tablet = Synthroid 0.1MG plus Cytomel 5MCG

???

Thanks in advance,

Then time for the Armour, substituting for the cytomel, and, as Jan said, more of the T4 with it, if you're wanting to maintain the higher T4 lab value (if it makes you feel better). The doctor's idea is probably to keep the T3, but gain the benefits of the more natural form, with all the good stuff that comes with the Armour. It looks like you probably could stand to bring up your Free T3.

Re: help?

, I've been on Synthroid for ten years, and I feel "okay." But I think I'm too tired for my age.
