Guest guest
Oh, , I feel for him. Your DH's method is a tough way to do things. You know how the Buddhists say somthing like: " pain is unavoidable, but suffering is optional " . I think it's true. Pain will happen. To a certain extent, you do have some control about how much it affects you. I hope he'll come over to your way of doing things! I truly believe, from my own experiences as well as others like you, that attitude helps tremendously! I keep trying to convince DH of that and he isn't so sure. He seems to think you just have to suffer through whatever you have to suffer through (unfortunately, the rest of us suffer with him and then he thinks I'm unsympathetic which I do become after a while). He does try to experiment with my method too, and is lately, so I'll quit complaining too! :-) Re: Friday-Mon rest and walking I know! LOL! No Googlies! I should know by the end of the week. Hopefully yesterday's MRI shows that I'm just getting older it's just wear and tear. Meanwhile, i'm in really good spirits. I get up and convince myself that I'm better, and then I plunge into my routines and avoid stuff that hurts. It's all good. Plus, I'm so grateful to have insurance! Oh gotcha...so strange, I'm not doing any Google searches either but I want an answer for you, grrrr Vennitta Interesting, but it doesn't really fit. Actually, it's the other way around. The insomnia started because of the ringing/roaring sound in my ears. It gets loud at 1 or 2 in the morning and actually wakes me up. I think that if they can't solve that hearing problem, I'll probably get used to it in time. I am so unstressed in my life. I love my job and actually look forward to it. At the end of the day, I love coming home. DH is great. Kid is easy. Bills are paid. I'm a lucky, lucky girl! Although I don't think it's a cortisol thing, who knows? Wait a minute, you have insomnia? Couldn't the be a big reason why you are having these head issues? Your hormones and cortisol levels are probably more out of whack that perimenopause brings Hugs,Vennitta Hi all, I took three super lovely rest days Friday- Sunday. I took some naps, which hit me just right. I'm still struggling with chronic insomnia. I had a super long nap on Friday, and BOY, did that help. I dozed off during football yesterday. I find football SUPREMELY boring, and maybe I should watch it when I'm having my insomnia, LOL. I should videotape it and watch it when I'm up at 1:00 a.m. Bores me to DEATH, LOL. I actually felt better today just from getting caught up with sleep. Today I did my walk commute plus a lunch walk. The route totaled about 6 miles. I did a couple of run segments in the morning, and it went fairly well. On the way home, I picked up a bunch of groceries at Trader Joe's. It's half a mile away from home. Came home with a packed backpack and two full cloth sacks. Did curls & triceps extensions with the bags. Had an ipod mix with a fast walk bpm, and that was fun. Happy workouts! Guest guest
I hadn't heard that Buddhist saying before but I sure like it. He comes over from time to time. Lately he has been for the most part, and he has some pretty significant daily challenges, so I'm trying to be extra patient and quietly encouraging. Re: Friday-Mon rest and walking I know! LOL!
