Hello All,

I'm new to this group and to kombucha as well. However I am

completely enjoying my 1st brew, finding it quite delicious.

I'm wondering if folks could share their experiences when they first

started drinking it daily. I started slowly with 1 shot glass per day

but pretty quickly found my self wanting it with every meal.

Sometimes I dilute it in water; sometimes I drink it straight up.

I've had some interesting observations. When I drink it with

breakfast I loose my taste for coffee and likewise for dinner; I'm not

interested in wine with my meal. I have found myself craving less

water throughout the day. All of these things are fine with me, I'm

just wondering if it is a common experience.

One thing I'm less happy about is I've had a strong metallic taste in

my mouth, more so the 1st week, it's starting to fade some this 2nd

week. Is this common? My brew appears to be " text book " quality.

Could this be some sort of detox? Should I be worried? Has anyone

experienced foods that it is not very compatible with?

Lastly (for now) I'm wondering how you all drink it? Straight?

Diluted with water or something else? With meals or in between? Does

it need to stay refrigerated or can I carry it around all day in a

Nalgene bottle? Has anyone ever taken any backpacking? How does it

travel?

Thanks for being out there and sharing your collective wisdom. I look

forward to learning and sharing with you all.

Warm regards,

Pamela
