Update on Texas Citrus Project

Hello Trad Fooders,

We sold out another pallet full of citrus from South Texas Organics with

orders as far away as Albert Lea and many from south of the metro. 7 cases of

Meyers lemons were the hardest to fill as the outer fruit from many lemon trees

had frost damage. 22 cases of Hamlin oranges and 25 cases of Red Rio Grapefruit

filled the order. I did a reduced price on a total order of 10 or more cases and

had two orders reach that quota. Thanks to all who had input on this project

with posts or with orders as we continue to support the highest quality food in

this country and bring what we can to our home state. The Dennis Holbrook family

has been improving this citrus operation since 1984! The proof is in the

satisfaction you get from eating this quality. Makes you smile all day long. If

there is fruit left to harvest, we'll do it again in two weeks. It's not about

wanting to so more work (for me). It's about bringing this great value to

families in MN that want healthy food options and soil fertility is responsible

for that. Anyone see the movie " dirt " ? I've heard that it's all about the soil.

Done with input from Nobel winning scientists, this movie is recommended by a

rancher that I know that follow Salatins theory of managed grazing, etc. Be

well, Alvin (closer to home they now call me Organic Al)
