Guest guest
May you find peace in these words written by Louise Hay ... LETTING GO " To " let go " doesn't mean to stop caring, it means I can't do it for someone else. " " To " let go " is not to cut myself off, it's the realization I can't control another. " " To " let go " is not to enable, but to allow learning from natural consequences. " " To " let go " is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands. " " To " let go " is not to try to change or blame another, it's to make the most of myself. " " To " let go " is not to care for, but to care about. " " To " let go " is not to fix, but to be supportive. " " To " let go " is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being. " " To " let go " is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to affect their own destinies. " " To " let go " is not to be protective, it's to permit another to face reality. " " To " let go " is not to deny, but to accept. " " To " let go " is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them. " " To " let go " is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it. " " To " let go " is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future. " " To " let go " is to fear less and love more. " This was written by Louise L. Guest guest
I thought she did an awesome job of showing the issues, still as scarey as hell Mx BBC1 10:35pmLetting Go, Disabled teens and their parents plan for the future. Guest guest
Lots to ponder, notice that all the youngsters on the programme were still in the wilderness except for Monckton's daughter who was offered a place at chicken shed, but lets be honest if you are a well known investigative journalist who turns up for daughters interview with a BBC camera crew in tow you will probably get anything, imagine if we all turned up at AR or funding meetings, even tribunals with the BBC ! Biggest shock to me was the garden centre charging £50 per LD youngster for them to work in their places!!! WTF? Scuse my language but I will refuse a place planting seeds for free at local college never mind paying someone money to have him work for free, even government money that I, nor he will ever see Vicky Re: Letting Go ..... and that's only the start. She hasn't yet got as far as Care Managers, care providers, medical services for adults with LDs, etc. IME it continues to be a lifetime commitment.
