" Make A New Start " Written by Ruth Stafford Peale

" No matter how bad things are, you can begin again. Here are three steps to help

you accomplish that goal.

1) PUT ONE FOOT AHEAD OF THE OTHER. It is difficult to muster up the courage to

go on when you have been knocked down by life's events. You may be paralyzed by

the fear of being hurt again. But no matter what happens, keep putting one foot

in front of the other. Keep going, growing, and striving to do your best. Look

forward, not backward.

2) FORGET AND FORGIVE. When you carry yesterday's mistakes and hurts into

today, they will drag you down. Instead, learn from them. Look at your past

failures, come up with a better way of conducting yourself, and then give the

past to God.

3) DETERMINE TO BE A NEW PERSON. " If anyone is in Christ, he is a new

creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new " (II

Corinthians 5:17).

With that idea in your mind, that experience in your soul, you need never be

defeated by anything in this world! You can start all over again, no matter what

has happened in the past. "
