your letter to me

Dear PJ:

Thank you so much for writing, especially when you felt so tired!

I think what was especially key in your letter was when you wrote about

how you did things

in a conscientious way and were honest and a " quiet Christian " , and the

company demanded

that profit be made the bottom line, rather than integrity. I think that is

the biggest stress

on jobs like these; at least it was for me. I think these types of

controlling bosses know that

you have a solid value system that you're not willing to compromise, and

since they ARE willing,

it mirrors back to them what they know already, that they're selling out,

more or less. That's

why they want us to leave, and put the pressure on until we finally do. It

got to a point where

I could no longer do my job without accepting their value system, since we

merged with administration (the social work department) and since the big

guys were in our faces all the

time, literally in the same office space, I couldn't " get away " with quietly

doing what I wanted

to do the way I wanted to, and not compromising my values. The sad thing

is, I do miss my job,

as there were many aspects of it I really loved. I'm still working on

surrounding myself with

the positive and realizing that it was my bosses' problem, not mine - it

takes time, I guess.

Thanks again for writing, and I'm glad you're happier now and more

relaxed-

Blessing, Janet
