Thanks . It definitely was die off. Never experienced die off quite like

that before with them..... What other antifungals are there besides Nizoral,

Diflucan, and Lamisil? Those are the three we've tried so far. Shona

Amphoterecin B is a milder one that Dr G prescribes.

There are others in the " azole " group (relatives of Diclucan and Nizoral)

like Sporanox - this is strong, and used for fungal growth under nails etc.

and there is Miconazole which is the active ingredient in a topical cream

for " jock itch " - not sure if there is an oral version or not.

Has Dr G ever used Sporanox? It's covered by my

insurance, but I haven't used it yet. I considered it

for myself but wasn't sure of it and never remembered

to ask...

Any antifungal being covered by my insurance would be

a plus...

I don't believe he has used it - I seem to recall Dr G saying that its

strength for longer term use might be a concern.

ARE YOU USING LAMISIL ORALLY, JANET? FOR WHAT? ITS VERY HARD ON THE KIDNEYS &

LIVER, YOU KNOW.......I USED TOPICAL LAMISIL FOR MY RASHES, & IT CLEARED THAT

RIGHT UP. DON'T HAVE TO DO THAT ANYMORE, THOUGH, THANK GOD.

Yes I was told to take it oraly for two weeks as well as diflucan
