Guest guest
Where do you live? I know of two doctors in Texas who would probably be willing to do it as best they can until you can get in though they wouldn't have the experience Dr. G has. Guest guest
Hi Gaylen, We live in Houston, TX and are looking for someone to assist us in the protocol. I am also looking into the diet. Noah my son is 7 and we have been on the GFCF diet. I am looking to see were Dr. G's diet is posted or if it is? Thanks Dawn Audra Grindol <GTWINPALMS@...> wrote: Westlake, Louisiana. Guest guest
We live in Houston, TX and are looking for someone to assist us with the Nids protocol. We have a 7 year old and a 4 year old who were both diagnosed with a rare blood condition shortly after receiving there initial shots. My oldest Noah is most affected as he has seizures and reflux and gastro problems. My youngest we are holding our breath but should probably test him too. Thanks Dawn Tollefson Googahly@... wrote:Where do you live? Guest guest
The two Texas doctors I think may be willing to help folks get started with while waiting to see Dr. G are Dr. Glenn Hansen in Bedford (between Dallas & Ft. Worth) 817-267-6222 and Dr. Seshagiri Rao in Plano (972) 964-7373. Neither have any experience with except what we've shared with them but both have said they'd be willing to work with us and Dr. Hansen ordered all the original bloodwork Dr. G recommended. I'd like to see Dr. Rao get more into viral treatment since so many people here see him. He is very good with kids, very interested in learning about the latest treatments and listens closely to parents. He is a DAN doc though and does tend to push many of their recommendations -- however doesn't insist on it so may be willing to oversee a -way of doing things if the parent asks him to. He has quite a bit of experience handling yeast and I think some with SSRIs but is only just starting to prescribe some antivirals for some patients. Dr. Hansen specialty is chelation so I don't think Dr. G would be comfortable training him to do directly but he is interested in and always willing to learn and try new things. If I had to try to do this protocol while waiting to see Dr. G, I'd gather as much info from the website and this list as possible and then ease into it slowly with Dr. Hansen. He could easily handle the yeast and SSRI side of the treatment but might need some guidance on antivirals. Dr. Kendall in Austin does have quite a bit of experience treating HHV6 but he has his own protocol and I'm not sure how willing he'd be to vary from it towards a more route.
