Guest guest
Oh well.. You win some and loose some. I'll say it in this group too, as there is nothing to hide. Some folks are so fricken defensive and on the attack. I've been running CAST for many years and the fact is people who dont try to get along with others, do eventually weed themselves off the group. I can only apologize and be diplomatic to a point. I will continue to clarify the differences between cast techniques and the like, and if folks are offended by it....That would be their problem, not mine. If the clarifications arent made, I would be doing ET & the children a disservice. See ya' HRH Hi , > I suggest that you make your wall private if you are going to talk about > the CAST members on your Facebook page. > I wasn't even part of the whole blow-up, but I was deeply offended to see > that you said some folks are " sooo fricken defensive and on the attack " . > You ended the post by saying " Oh well, these people seem to weed > themselves out of CAST eventually, anyway. Guest guest
, my sister, if you had not taken our phone call one year ago- when you yourself had been very sick that week and had vowed not to take any calls- the course of our child's future would likely have been changed for the worse, to say the least. We will be forever grateful! And you're also a really funny and cool friend ; ) Heidi, Bexon's Mama, (2.5 years old, in 5th cast from Salt Lake City Shriners, currently down from 61 degrees to 23) To: infantile_scoliosis Sent: Fri, January 22, 2010 9:36:27 AMSubject: Re: Facebook Posting : I said it on FB and I will say it here as well: I've got your back! Speaking as a parent whose child could never have been a candidate for ET due to the fact that my girl has congenital scoliosis - I still understand what a trying time this is for all parents involved. Jumping through hoops to get your child the best treatment available, traveling if need be, putting other things - such as life - on the back burner, etc. it all takes a toll on you, your spouse, other children and the child being treated. , Shellie, Heidi, Carmell, Tasha et al. have been doing their damnedest to get the word out to the doctors in the US about this treatment so that YOUR children, who can be helped with a gentle, non-invasive treatment, get the help they DESERVE with properly trained doctors, nurses, staff and the proper equipment. These ladies know of what they speak. My child may not have benefitted from this treatment, but over the last, I don't even know how many years, I have seen the successes and believe me, I fully support ISOP's mission! I applaud with the families of the children who have been helped and weep with those who may have missed the window of opportunity due to the lack of knowledge on behalf of the medical community.
