silver electrodes tarnish?

My pure silver electrodes look tarnished and my eeg signal looked a bit

off on the QDS access. I have several spare that I can use. I only

have done about 60 sessions on these silver electrodes. Is that their

life span? I always wash in warm (almost boiling) water after use. Do

I need to throw the tarnished one away and start new? Is there

anything else I can do to extend the life of the electrodes?

I am going to switch to a saline hookup using Dr. Rocatti's cap. I

just haven't had time to study how to use it.
