Guest guest
I can answer a bit for you - he is a doctor who himself got thyroid cancer (after some bad advice from his doctor) and is treated at MD . His thyroid cancer was the kind that spread. He has generously helped answer many questions from others. I want to say he was/is a GP, but I think that was/is wrong. He explained several of my test results for me. I haven't been over to that forum in a while - how's he doing now??? Has he got an all clear yet? He has had a long hard fight. I hope he has finally got one. When do you go to MD ? Be prepared for lots of tests, they will look at all your results from the docs you've seen and then do all them all over themselves. So be ready for that - they like there own testing and own results best. They'll do the FNA over, the US, MRI if needed, loads of blood work, etc. The doc will see you, order all the tests and then see you when the results are in. Janie Jan ? for you Who is from the thyroid.about.com forum? Why do so many people ask him questions aboutthyroid cancer?LYNN-- No virus found in this outgoing message.Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.Version: 7.0.298 / Virus Database: 265.6.6 - Release Date: 12/28/2004
Guest guest
Hi Janie, Thanks for the reply. I was wondering who he was, and how he knew so much. It's a very sad story to hear that he got bad advice. But, I am not surprised! That's why most of us end up on a forum like this.... I go to MD on the 7th or 8th of Jan. Can't remember. Must be the hypo I am prepared for all the tests. I have been told that I will have many tests done that day. I am NOT prepared for all the bills, though. It sounds like I will have a lot when this is all over. I already have a $500.00 bill from the reading of my old FNA's. I checked into supplemental insurance. Will know a little more tomorrow. Does anyone have experience on this????? Thanks for remembering.....I will let you all know how things go. And, thanks for the information on . Not sure on his condition. Hard to follow the forum, but it sounds like he is not out of the woods YET!
