Guest guest Posted September 21, 2011 Report Share Posted September 21, 2011 Hi Everyone, Today was 10 lb slimdown extreme yoga - it was nice. looked very cute in her braids. Nothing really remarkable to report on it - it is more of an athletic/strength/power style yoga than a restorative yoga - although she does include some nice restorative stretches. I normally don't do this type of yoga b/c of the potential to tweak my back w/ too many forward bends, but I think I have finally learned the proper way to do them and to modify them so I don't injure myself. Basically, I use blocks and straps even if the instructor doesn't and I tend to keep at my own pace rather than follow the instructor's pace. Overall though, this one was nice! Still trying to decide if I should go back and do a few weeks of the original 10 lb slimdown workouts - it seems my summer of Margaret left me a little out of practice w/ standing lower body exercises. hmmm...maybe a 2 week refresher w/ the originals is in order?? BTW, confession time - I did break down and order them on the last day of the sale. I figure future pricing won't be better than what was offered for the pre-sale. And, I do know i will use them as I'm a big fan of Chris's!Yesterday while my DD was at art class I walked - gotta enjoy the light in the evenings and warm temps as long as I can - time is running out! I probably walked for 45-50 minutes. I guess if she takes this class in the winter, I'll just go to the library - which is nice, too, but I do like to get extra activity when I can b/c at my job I basically sit on my butt all day.Hope everyone has a good day - glad it is Wednesday!!!
