Guest guest
Hugs.. I know slowing down is hard but you're doing the right thing. Really, really hoping this will somehow correct itself, ! That is sweet that DH is being so accommodating. I agree, this is the most beautiful and magical time of the year. Soon we won't be able to have our windows open and will need to turn the heat on..Halloween is my most favorite holiday of all.. Trader Joe's is a very fun place. I go maybe 4 times a year but I always have a blast there! You can get an outstanding bottle of wine there for cheap. Grape tomatoes seem to be a good price there too. Hope you feel better soon, and god bless DH for letting you have your props out!Hugs Last week I walked 4-6 miles per day. I love fall, and the walks did wonders for my mood, but physically, it was too much. I had a really painful setback.I'm a little better today. I'll start back in a couple of days by focusing on very short, targeted sessions. I love my walks so much, but I'm cutting back by using the bus more. I'd like to avoid having that spinal puncture procedure, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and go easy for a while. DH rearranged the living room furniture for me. I normally keep my gear behind the sofa, but I can now get to the gear easily. I wanted easy access to the STS tower, which doubles nicely as a barre for stretching. I'd like something to balance against for standing stretches, static lunges and squats (unweighted, short sessions just to keep range of motion). I also want easy access to the bike trainer. I can't get into road bike position yet, but if I could just sit upright and spin for very short sessions, that would be awesome. I'll try that in a couple of weeks. I'm so glad DH doesn't care that the gear is out like that.Happy workouts! Happy fall, everyone! It's my favorite season.

Guest guest
Hi , you need to build your mileage slowly for walking. I have bad feet (bunions and I get blisters easily) so I have to gradually increase my mileage. When I was walking before I was trying to get my fitbit to read 10,000 steps a day, or about 5 miles. Some days I went further. I always split my walking sessions up which will help you too, I think.Summer is my favorite time of year....this past week and weekend was like summer unfortunately I was sick and didn't get to enjoy much of it. I did slowly walk around the complex where I live but I would have liked to do some power walking....oh well can't with coughing from bronchitis! Guest guest
Wise advice,Jen. My setback was to a neurological problem. Thankfully, my feet and muscles are conditioned and ok. I don't have a car, so I easily hit 10000 steps just commuting and errands, so on split sessions, just like you. It's a nice way to go. Guest guest
Sorry , I'm behind reading the posts. You are probably doing the best and waiting for the CSF leakage to resolve itself. I hope you have a good Neurologist. I'm still coughing, and worn-out...going to bed very soon!
