HI EVERYONE: SAMANTHA IS HAVING HER CT SCAN DONE AT 10:00 A.M. THEY CALLED

ME AND TOLD ME THAT SHE HAS TO HAVE AN I.V. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THEY ARE

CHECKING FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DELAYS. I HOPE THEY PUT HER TO SLEEP BEFORE THEY

STICK HER. I JUST DON'T KNOW HOW THEY WILL FIND HER LITTLE VAINS. SHE HAS A

COLD AND HER CHEST IS CONGESTED, I HOPE SHE'LL BE ABLE TO BREATH ALRIGHT WITH

THE SEDATION! WELL, I'M A LITTLE NERVOUS SO I JUST WANTED TO VENT!!!!

My heart goes out to you. Sierra had the CT two weeks ago. Luckily she took

the liquid with no problem. The bitter taste upset her the most and while she

screamed the nurse dimmed the lights so I could rock her to sleep. We did not

need the IV. When Sierra was born she had a temperature the staff was able

to bring it down, and we went home 24 hours after. We then checked back into

to the hospital due to a high fever. We had a spinal tap, as well as many

other test. The nurses who did all the pricking were just remarkable. Even at

24 hours old, I was completely aware that Sierra was in the right hands. Just

know that you are a special Mom who is doing everything she can for her

child. I am not sure of the experience you will go through, but even though

she is a little baby, I am sure she understands that you love her. Be sure to

tell the nurse of 's medical history. Such as fever, medication, etc.

I practically told them everything and they listened and assured me it was

going to all right. I just whispered to Sierra over and over again how much I

loved her, and realized that we were going through this, so she can get the

help she needs.
