Got a new treadmill!!Date: Tue, Oct 11, 2011 8:16 pm We just bought a Nordic Track EXP2000i for $300!! I will be using this baby a lot more than the one I now have, as it is much quieter and has a much bigger lane. :-) It even has a book rack -- something I had been asking DH to rig up for me on the old one.Now I need to rearrange things in the basement to fit the new treadmill in down there! Guest guest
> We just bought a Nordic Track EXP2000i for $300!! sounds like a good deal indy! congratulations!! we have an elliptical, but it gets used more in the winter months when it is too cold to walk outside. i dont know about reading while on the treadmill... i would feel mind-body disconnected if i did that. maybe get some of those scenic walking (running?) videos, or you might like to look into sean omalley and his cardio coach workouts for running on your treadmill (these are audios, not videos). www.cardiocoach.com :*carolyn. Guest guest
Yes, it's going on Craig's List as soon as we can get good pictures of it. I doubt if we'll get much for it -- it works, but that's about it. The motor starts to smell funky if I use it over 45 minutes, it's a narrow, short belt and it has a *mechanical* speed changer. Plus it's noisy! Extremely basic. I'd be happy to put it on Freecycle or give it to GoodWill, but DH wants to get money for it. I'm really excited about this new machine. I used a fancy TM like this at a hotel this summer, and really liked it! This model also has extra cushioning o n the track, which is good for my old bones! And it does have the iFit feature, although I'm not sure I'll use it. I actually like a mind-body disconnect when I run, which I can get better on the TM than outdoors. I can even run with my eyes closed, listening to an audiobook, or watch a video while running on the TM, whereas I need to watch my steps outdoors. It seems everybody is different! Guest guest
Wow! That is super cool!!! $300.00 is a steal!Congrats! Congrats, Indyrose! Looks like that one might use the iFit " chirp " technology - which means you can get workout cds for it that give you lots more automatic programs: http://shop.ifit.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SubCategory_-1_13051_14902_23508_23506 Or, if you're feeling techie - you can write your own programs, too! http://www.triathlontrainingblog.com/post/ifit-treadmill-program-i2workout/ Enjoy!
