Ropes push up modification for unbendy wrists.

This is what I was trying to describe in an earlier post. This is how I subbed for push ups after I broke my hand, but before I could put my palms on the floor. This allowed me to keep my wrist straight and still hit core and chest. I did them chaturunga style, so my elbows were close to the body, and shoulder blades low on my back. I didn't have rings, just loops on the end of a rope. I padded the loops with sections from an old bike tire and wrapped that up with duct tape. It made a nice handle. This makes it easy for you to position your wrist in the most comfortable and appropriate manner.

Here's a video. (FYI, I don't grunt while doing these, but feel free to grunt like this guy.)    :Dhttp://vimeo.com/20080688

(I'm also happy to report that I have no residual hand or wrist problems... crazy grateful.)
