Cathe's Step Heat

I got this from the library today and tried it out tonight. I was happy with my

performance on a first time through!! Yeah, I tripped over my two left feet a

few times, but for the most part, I stayed with it.

One thing I don't like is that the steps get a bit harder later in the routine.

That's when I'm dripping and trying to keep up -- my mind is busy just keeping

me going, and not terribly open to learning new steps.

I was able to do most of the " high impact " moves. I put them in quotes because I

didn't feel that little hops and skips are very high impact. Still, those little

hops really did add to the intensity.

I forgot to wear my HRM, but she had a point in the routine where she had us

take our pulse and compare it to a chart. I was at the high end of my target

zone. (Also, the chart stopped at 50 years old!!)

She scared me at the very start of the DVD, where she said that this was an

advanced workout, and we should pre-view it before trying it. I didn't find it

all that much more difficult than her Basic Step -- some yes, but I didn't feel

too much difference (I may tomorrow!)

I skipped the ab workout -- I really didn't feel like getting down on the mat

while dripping sweat..

Interesting -- the photo on the cover of the DVD show a VERY young Cathe...

LOL about the chart! I remember when videos had you check your HR that way. Nice job, Indyrose!
