gets her band tomorrow

Well, tomorrow is the big day - gets her DOC band. Our appt. is

at 11:00. is a little over 5 months old. She LOVES to wear hats,

so I'm hoping and praying that she'll adjust well (and quickly) to

having the band. I'm also hoping and praying that mommy adjusts well

and quickly. I've stood over her crib on and off all night just looking

at her little head, and thinking how much I'm going to miss seeing the

whole thing and being able to rub her head and talk to her. It's almost

like I'm in mourning for the loss of the next 4 months - anybody know

what I mean, or am I just going crazy? I know we're doing the right

thing - I just wish we didn't have to do it.

Anyway, please keep us in your prayers tomorrow, and also on Saturday -

and I were supposed to have a formal " madonna " portrait done today

(me all dressed up in a black drape thing, her basically naked!), but we

had to reschedule for Saturday (oops). I'll have to take her band off

for it, so we'll have to time it just right. I'm hoping once her band

is off she'll be happy long enough (assuming she's having trouble

adjusting) so that the photographer can get some good shots!

Speaking of portraits (and totally off the subject of

plagio/bands/helmets), we had 's pic taken Tuesday at The Picture

People - have any of y'all used them? They were GREAT. She was cranky,

so they didn't get one single smile out of her, but the pics are still

wonderful. We had one done in her halloween costume (she's gonna be a

bumblebee), and she stuck one finger in her mouth and the photographer

got it - and it's adorable! Anyway, if you ever want pics taken, I'd

recommend them!
