Guest guest
Hi all, We just switched from Diflucan to Nizoral a few days ago. My son has been on Diflucan for 6 months and we started to notice yeast type problems again (grinding teeth, rash on bottom and behaviors). Has anyone had trouble with diarrhea when first starting Nizoral? I'm not sure if is sick with a virus or it's the Nizoral. It's hard to tell the second week of preschool. Any number of viruses could be circulating through school. Thanks in advance for your help. _____________________________________________ Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. Has anyone had trouble with diarrhea when first starting Nizoral? Hi , Yes. We saw die-off (esp. diarrhea) when we switched (although it was from Nizoral to Diflucan). Of course, it being the second week of school, a virus could cause the problem, but my money is on the Nizoral. Guest guest
Was wondering if any of your children have had " giggling fits " after starting nizoral??? My son has stayed up for several hours on a few occasions just laughing and laughing. Very tired Mom~~ Rose Re: Nizoral , I mentioned grinding teeth to Dr G in our last phone consult and he said it was allergy related....and that was all he said about it. We have never been on antifungals so your statement about them being related to yeast are interesting to me. (I am always trying to tell him " don't grind your teeth!) //truncated// ______________________________________________ Responsibility for the content of this message lies strictly with the original author, and is not necessarily endorsed by or the opinion of the Research Institute. Guest guest
At first, my son had a week or so of mild return of symptoms but nizoral tends to work very well for him. Gaylen
Guest guest
, The antifungals (first Nizoral, then Diflucan) created horrible regressions for my son that lasted several days. He was a whiny/tantruming/screaming mess with obsessive behaviours (opening and slamming doors over and over again, for example). But, after the die-off things were awesome. Hang in there! I've heard that both tylenol and charcoal can help, but we have not tried either. Kristy nizoral I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback about how their child acted when they were on Nizoral? My son is starting to have some regression in his behavior & I'm hoping that it is die off or something... I would appreciate hearing about anyone elses experience & positive effects as well. Guest guest
My daughter did the normal die-off on diflucan with wonderful results, however when we tryed nizoral, at 5 weeks she was getting worse not better. After some research I found that nizoral does have some side effects that cause aggression and irritability. I understand this is rare, but wanted to make you aware.. Guest guest
Hi - Yes, it is important to know how long he's been on the Nizoral. Also, how old is he? If he's puberty age, sometimes, testosterone can be affected, but it's supposed to be in a good way... Most likely it's die-off and will resolve. My son did even better on Nizoral than Diflucan. I love it. Hope you see good stuff shortly. --- princesspeach <donnaaron@...> wrote: > Hi , > > When did he start the Nizoral? Guest guest
- Dr. Goldberg just got back with me & is having us change to diflucan. My son is 3 years old. I " m glad to hear your son had some nice results with it. It's wonderful when something we do actually works to their good! How old is your son & how is he doing now? It's very encouraging to hear how other's have done & are doing on this protocol. Thanks- --- <thecolemans4@...> wrote: > Hi - > Yes, it is important to know how long he's been on > the > Nizoral. Guest guest
Hi , We're considering a switch from Diflucan to Nizoral. Could you please tell me what dose of Nizoral your child is taking? We follow the protocol but my dear husband(physician) along with our ped. write for his meds.. Take good care, >From: <thecolemans4@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Re: nizoral >Date: Mon, 11 Sep 2006 13:38:18 -0700 (PDT) > >Hi - >Yes, it is important to know how long he's been on the >Nizoral.
