,

No one reason why we stopped inositol. had been down to a

maintenance level of 1 tsp/day for a while. His OCD acted up again -

if I recall all this correctly - and we increased the inositol a

bit. I was also $$$ troubled for getting it at the time. And I had

always wondered if he might not get even more relief from a

prescribed medication; as in OCD completely gone(!) since inositol

did so well. And I was afraid that after 3 years of inositol, it

might be pooping out a bit, his system so used to it or something.

So a bundle of reasons!

Per , OCD is still there, always, whether on inositol or

Celexa. Actually he was doing so well on inositol at one point, I

asked him if OCD was still around and that's when he said yes, it's

always there. But things were sooo well, I thought it faded away!

I think that between the 2 " meds " - Celexa and inositol - he didn't

get more relief from one than the other. Inositol was better overall

for him since it did work and it didn't tire him. (His appetite sure

did pick up tho; didn't know if it was inositol or the teenage

years!)

He'd rather not take either one of them he said the other day.

Hmmm...no meds at all and OCD might be back stronger? We'll have to

see some day but I don't think that " I " am quite ready to see yet.
