Guest guest
Hi Everyone! I don't think I posted my Monday workout but it was 10 lb slimdown total body plus core. I then had a long day of sitting at meetings at work which made my back a bit disagreeable. I iced it last night and took this morning from working out off. I may squeeze in a bit of Pilates later and walk this evening during my DD's art class. It is also TOM and I have a huge headache (also wondering if maybe TOM wasn't the cause of my back woes yesterday? At least it explains why felt all bloated on Sunday - this perimeno stuff s*cks!!) My back is feeling better, but just don't want to push it. It is about a year since my last major flare up and I don't want to go there again!!On that note, I have re-considered my plans for the Xtreme workouts - I don't think I"m going to follow the rotation that came w/ the kit - I think it will be too stressful for my back to do these xtreme workouts back to back for 4 weeks (the 10 lb slimdowns are probably partially responsible for all the tightness I feel - I think I could alleviate some of it by stretching more - there is very little stretching included in the workouts - but I tend to get short on time and skip the stretching and time doesn't materialize for me to do it later in the day - so I just need to build it into my rotation to ensure it gets done!). I feel somewhat wimpy, (I know what you mean, about the aches and pains!) but I also have to remember that working out is supposed to help me feel better and make me stronger not make me feel worse and injured. So, this is what I decided to do w/ the xtreme workouts:Week 1 -Day 1 - Total Body XtremeDay 2 - Yoga/Pilates/Classical Stretch & CardioDay 3 - Core XtremeDay 4 - Yoga/Pilates/Classical Stretch & CardioDay 5 - Xtreme Cardio Day 6 - Xtreme Yoga & Long WalkDay 7 - RestWeek 2Day 1 - Upper Body XtemeDay 2 - Yoga/Pilates/Classical Stretch & CardioDay 3 - Lower Body XtremeDay 4 - Yoga/Pilates/Classical Stretch & CardioDay 5 - Xtreme CardioDay 6 - Xtreme Yoga & Long WalkDay 7 - RestI will alternate both weeks for however long I feel like following the rotation. (at least 4 weeks, probably). If the cardio kickboxing gets troublesome for my back I'll sub something else in for that. On days 2 & 4 - it will be my choice as to whether I do Pilates, Yoga or Classical Stretch and my choice of cardio. I think this is more workable for me.I'm not sure if I'll finish out this week w/ the 10 lb slimdowns or make some changes....I really don't want to hurt my back. LIke I said, it has been about a year since I really had a big flare up and I don't want to go there again!! I think I'll just play it all by ear this week! Take care!Donna
Guest guest
Nice looking rotation, as usual, Donna! And yes, do listen to your back! Now that I'm not running the half and I feel I can finish up with Noel next week I will need to come up with a schedule too. I want to resume my one body part per day along with cardio but where and when is the thing. I have a feeling once I get home tonite I won't feel like doing Firm It Up.. I feel my body turning to mush... ug! I should probably do a pilates/yoga week too and take Group Centergy at the gym . Hmmm... Hi Everyone! Guest guest
My back always bothers me more around TTOM. I love how you always listen to your body. I need to do that more often. I think I push myself too much sometimes. I like the rotation.**----- Reply message -----To: <exercisevideos >, <FitFirmies >Subject: Monday & TuesdayDate: Tue, Oct 18, 2011 9:02 am Hi Everyone! Guest guest
Hi Donna, I think you are being super smart, not wimpy in the least bit! Like you said, this is supposed to make you feel awesome, not awful so honor your body's abilities and needs and do what is best and what you enjoy, not what any rotation says to do or according to any competitive needs (with yourself or with others). Your rotation looks like it will work great for you and that is what matters! Hugs, Monday & Tuesday Hi Everyone!
