Guest guest
Liv and are in our prayers! and Liv live their lives by example of service to others. We are praying for peace and comfort for both of you before, during and long after the surgery is complete. Subject: Livs surgery WEDSTo: infantile_scoliosis Date: Wednesday, November 11, 2009, 5:55 AM Thanks for sending my girl all of your love, prayers and strength. Her procedure(s) will begin at approx. noon, which may mean 1 or 2 0r 3. The sooner the better, as we all know....Its hard to be last on the oR schedule. Thats the least of our worries though.....She had a lengthy discussion with her doc, and predictably her questions were more complicated/ detailed than mine. ha! Her spine is 90/95 percent fused, so the doc will go in and take a closer look, to determine exactly where to fuse, do a few osteomities, place dual rods with a small tether attached to a pedicle to try and control/maintain kyphosis for her next few growth spurts. We are going as conservative as possible. Not sure what Risser stage she is in....Hopefully, 1...Should take around 5 hrs. My family is rolling in tonight and there will continually be someone by her side while in the Special Care Unit and always. She is handling all of this well and so am I. We'll see how I am tomorrow, though. Yikes. If she is good, Im good. You know how it goes.We appreciate your good energy and I'll probably have someone post on Thursday. I let on a few new members, so please continue to educate/advocate like you have done so well, for so long....Thank you sooooo much for helping, while we have been away.Pray for my beautiful LIV tomorrow. Goodnight CAST Family. So much love to you all, HRH
