Guest guest
No matter what we've done with Garrett's diet, he has always had some degree of eczema on his body (not severe, just very persistent to varying degrees). This is true even when he was eating nothing more than meat and potatoes while we tried to figure out what was causing the reaction. We recently ran out of Kyo-Dophilus, the non-dairy probiotic Dr. Goldberg had recommended. He'd been on it since 12/02. Since coming off of that supplement about 10 days ago, his skin has returned to nearly perfect. It feels like a two-year-old's skin should feel. Gaylen recently posted something saying that her son reacted to his probiotic. I'm not sure we would have made the connection if we hadn't read her comment. I'm not 100% sure that the Kyo-Dophilus was the cause... Garrett just had his 2nd IMGG shot, and has started Paxil, so there are (as always) multiple variables at play that make this a continuing challenge to figure out. Regardless, it's something you may wish to consider if your child has mystery eczema despite a nearly hypo-allergenic diet. Gurwitz
