I'm sure others have responded but we go to Rochester and our tshirts are also cut out and folded back in the belly area. It is different depending on where you go. So, if anyone ever tells you to floss, you can't because of the way the shirt is cut out in the front. He has a sweater that is cut and folded over the edge of the belly cut out. He was very distended and I noticed a bruise. When they palpated his belly they noticed the sore starting under the edge of the cast near the bruise. Does the sweater usually cover the belly cut out?Sent from my iPhoneOn Dec 4, 2009, at 3:27 PM, <missikay10yahoo (DOT) com> wrote:

Catie,

Does he not have a t-shirt or sweather underneath the cast? If so how was a sore detected?

I am wandering if any of you that have had your kids in casts for three months at a time have had any problems with them acting like they are in pain? Every time I lay down to change his diaper now he cries like he is in terrible pain. It started out as a temper tantrum, then I got him to calm down, now he just lays there and cries quietly while the tears just stream out. I have a relative that is young and crazy and he picked up by his cast several times last night even after we told him not to and I am wandering if that moved the cast at all and now it is pinching him. Any suggestions? Also he is not scheduled to go back to get his cast off until December 28th.Beth RettingerMother of
