Today was back and biceps day, and I wanted a video to guide me, at least through some of it to keep things fresh and interesting, otherwise

I'll do the same routines which gets boring and it's also good to confuse the muscles.

To that end I went with Cathe's Power Hour, a virgin workout for me, and just did did the biceps, triceps, and abdominals sections but I also added in exercises to make it harder.  I wanted to feel it tomorrow

as if I had been doing them with Noel!Cathe's drills are a lot like Body Pumps, where you lift without a break for 5 minutes or so, up 4 down 4, up 1 down 3, etc.

bicep curls: I used 10 lb dumbells, then dropped to 9's later on

I added in 3 x 10 hammer curls, 15 lb dumbells

I added in 3 x 10 concentration curls, 15, 12, 12

lying tricep extensions: I used a 23 lb barbell

kickbacks: 8 lb dumbell

lying tricep extensions again:  23 lb barbell

I added in 3 x 10 standing overhead extensions with a 25 lb kettlebellabs were the usual crunches, reverse curls, bicycles, and planks.  I felt them!Tomorrow

is my last day with Noel for awhile :( so I hope to use Power Hour in the same way for other body parts this week.  I liked the music in this one, and look forward to experiencing the rest of this dvd!

Here's to having that gunshow!
