LOL, let's hope they never have to find out for themselves. :)True, true, try as I might I couldn't get anyone to understand how different it was for folk in VA vs where we were in NJ...I had to advise one person in particular to never visit CA, her reaction to what felt like a strong wind gust was a bit over the top <330.gif>.A 3.9 can be super scary too especially it the plates moving up and down instead of side to side.Vennitta …Or that distance from epicenter makes a huge difference. My friend in Culpeper VA was close to the epicenter. That earthquake was felt far and wide, but the intensity lessens greatly with distance. We were sitting almost over the epicenter last Thursday. It was a 3.9, but it made folks scream. Thank goodness it only lasted 10 seconds.I so have to agree with that . Having been raised in So CA then moving to No CA then to NJ Iv'e gone from dry/wet - hot/cool weather to humid/snowy - hot/freezing (real) weather, LOL. I still like real weather though (thank goodness), fall remains my favorite with turning of the leaves being an amazingly beautiful sight. First snowfall is a beauty but then yikes :), you know, spring is also now a sight to behold but my allergies go from bad to worse.Trying to explain a real earthquake to those that thought that mild movement we felt was a hootVennitta Thanks ! Here in the Bay Area, we have cool Summers (foggy) and warmer Falls. We don't have a winter. It's just another cooler, rainier season. We don't know the meaning of weather, LOL. Ask us about earthquakes, though. :)Something is in BLOOM? Wow, around here everything is dying. It is absolutely gorgeous to see the fall leaves but it means soon there will only be gray and white here. I try not to think of that part of it! I'm glad you got to enjoy a wonderful walk, ! (in Michigan where it was almost sunny after 2 straight days of rain) Re: Walking and ClooneyYou're absolutely right, . I walked about 4 miles total yesterday. The weather was great, and Freesias and Jasmine are in bloom. Fantastic. I went back to walking yesterday and today. The weather was gorgeous. Shoot, I left my pedometer in the other room, but I did something like 6 miles yesterday. I hadn't intended to walk that far, but I suddenly had an appointment to get to in the afternoon, and I had to hoof it. I ran a few blocks. (This was before I met with Dr. Gorgeous.)I walked 4 miles today just commuting. Easy, slower walking, landing lightly. No running. After my doctor described my brain situation, I didn't feel like it was a good idea to run for a while, LOL. Duh That is so awesome . Walking is great and 6 miles is REALLY great. I wouldn't feel down with not running, I think walking is better for the body anyway. :o) ~

Be careful of " hot " doctors!!! -- When I had my wisdom teeth pulled (all 4 at

once) I had a really hot oral surgeon! At my follow-up visit after surgery, he

asked me if I remembered any of it -- since I wasn't " completely " under, but

might as well have been. Then he said, " So, you don't remember asking me to

marry you? " (I was single at the time..)

To this day I don't know if I really did that or he was just pulling my leg!

I'd be really fine with not knowing anything about what this is like. We've had teeny tiny earthquakes (more like earthshakes) here and they were really freaky, I can't imagine what a real one would be like and, as I said, don't need to know. We have tornadoes instead anyway...

Re: Walking and Clooney

You're absolutely right, .

Gorgeous.)

I walked 4 miles today just commuting. Easy, slower walking, landing lightly. No running. After my doctor described my brain situation, I didn't feel like it was a good idea to run for a while, LOL. Duh

That is so awesome . Walking is great and 6 miles is REALLY great. I wouldn't feel down with not running, I think walking is better for the body anyway. :o)

I love weather... I also hate it... but I don't think I could live without it at this point. Of course, ask me that in December or January and I might say something else (quite likely something unprintable).
