Guest guest
Yeah, I can see where running might be an issue... I love your sense of humor, ! I hope the mental health day helps you feel more clear. We love you too!!! Walking and Clooney I went back to walking yesterday and today. The weather was gorgeous. Shoot, I left my pedometer in the other room, but I did something like 6 miles yesterday. I hadn't intended to walk that far, but I suddenly had an appointment to get to in the afternoon, and I had to hoof it. I ran a few blocks. (This was before I met with Dr. Gorgeous.) I walked 4 miles today just commuting. Easy, slower walking, landing lightly. No running. After my doctor described my brain situation, I didn't feel like it was a good idea to run for a while, LOL. Duh. I'm taking a mental health day today. My productivity tanked at work today. Too distracted. I love you guys! ****OT*** ****OT: Clooney had a spinal fluid leak too:***Hey, this is what my doctor was talking about. Looks like Clooney's injury was much more severe than mine. He was actually leaking spinal fluid from his nose. Can you imagine? On my worst days, it felt the way he describes it: a bad ice cream headache. For me, now it has settled into a more low grade, constant headache, a stiff neck, and lots of noise in my head. That's not so bad, LOL. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/6146734/george_clooney_was_suicidal_after_2005.html?cat=

Guest guest
Pinky, Yeah, but it's my brain that's fancy, not my ankle. You have a fancy ankle! When I had a fancy ankle, I didn't walk so much. Did I tell you that my podiatrist was hot too? On the other hand, you did some wicked good lifting, my friend! I have not lifted. Walking is wonderful! I'm lucky to be able to. Someday I'll visit your fair city. You guys are sweet, but I wont deceive you. It got ugly today. I left out some details because I'm vain, LOL.Long story short, I left work early. I'm super distracted, I can't hear well, and my memory is shot. I had too many calls from changing the appt back and forth, and I was trying to coordinate it with my team. Ultimately, I was so crushed to have to power through another week that I couldn't get a grip. I had what Oprah refers to as the " ugly cry " at work. I mistyped earlier. I'm taking my mental health day tomorrow, not today. Actually, it's a mental health day for my coworkers, LOL!. I love them. Love my job! Kids, I work for Title Nine, the BEST damn group of people anywhere. So, so lucky. you've done more cardio than I have these past couple of days - all that walking is so good, and here too in Portland it's been so gorgeous out! Guest guest
I am proud too and totally get leaving out the other details and you totally deserve that mental health day! This isn't a cold with some sniffles you got going on, it's serious business that would send anyone into momentary crisis mode!!! How do you get on the gorgeous doctor preferred provider list??? Mine are all average to creepy looking, especially my appointed primary care physician, but she's so odd I also really like her. Still, I'd rather have Dr. Gorgeous and Pretty Podiatrist if at all possible...hook me up Girlfriend! Keep us posted, please, on this surgery and goings on. Hugs, I don't know what I'm typing! Guest guest
More and humongous hugs ! It makes complete sense, you cry as needed and freely and don't worry that you might feel sorry for yourself, just let it out. What you are dealing with is scary, effects you emotionally and physically and since it's your brain no one will know that you are going through so much by looking at you. A mental health day for you (and your coworkers ) is well deserved, my guess is that your coworkers don't mind being there for you now when you need it, but I'll leave that for a different discussion. Kids, I work for Title Nine, the BEST damn group of people anywhere. So, so lucky. you've done more cardio than I have these past couple of days - all that walking is so good, and here too in Portland it's been so gorgeous out! Lifts the soul! You have such a good attitude it is inspiring. Thank you for being YOU! Hugs Yeah, I can see where running might be an issue...
Guest guest
Something is in BLOOM? Wow, around here everything is dying. It is absolutely gorgeous to see the fall leaves but it means soon there will only be gray and white here. I try not to think of that part of it! I'm glad you got to enjoy a wonderful walk, ! (in Michigan where it was almost sunny after 2 straight days of rain) Re: Walking and Clooney You're absolutely right, . I walked about 4 miles total yesterday. Guest guest
Thanks ! Here in the Bay Area, we have cool Summers (foggy) and warmer Falls. We don't have a winter. It's just another cooler, rainier season. We don't know the meaning of weather, LOL. Ask us about earthquakes, though. :)Something is in BLOOM? Wow, around here everything is dying. Guest guest
I so have to agree with that . Having been raised in So CA then moving to No CA then to NJ Iv'e gone from dry/wet - hot/cool weather to humid/snowy - hot/freezing (real) weather, LOL. I still like real weather though (thank goodness), fall remains my favorite with turning of the leaves being an amazingly beautiful sight. First snowfall is a beauty but then yikes , you know, spring is also now a sight to behold but my allergies go from bad to worse. Trying to explain a real earthquake to those that thought that mild movement we felt was a hootVennitta Thanks ! Here in the Bay Area, we have cool Summers (foggy) and warmer Falls. Guest guest
…Or that distance from epicenter makes a huge difference. My friend in Culpeper VA was close to the epicenter. That earthquake was felt far and wide, but the intensity lessens greatly with distance. We were sitting almost over the epicenter last Thursday. It was a 3.9, but it made folks scream. Guest guest
True, true, try as I might I couldn't get anyone to understand how different it was for folk in VA vs where we were in NJ...I had to advise one person in particular to never visit CA, her reaction to what felt like a strong wind gust was a bit over the top . A 3.9 can be super scary too especially it the plates moving up and down instead of side to side.Vennitta …Or that distance from epicenter makes a huge difference.
